This artwork is on paper and a part of a series of monoprints in oil. The series follows a story of human emotions and that of a concept of environment reflecting one’s own being and vice versa.

The storm symbolizes emotions that are volatile and sometimes destructive even though they’re a natural outcome of circumstances and being human. Every emotion is as transient and life itself. Storm represents difficulties, problems, loneliness, strength, weakness and depression. Standing alone in the storm indicates an individual’s strength. If the storm is unable to scare you, it depicts your strong attitude towards life.

The colors of ochre, rust, indigo and black and stokes that are scratches and hard mark-making across the medium of paper are indicative of a storm that rages within and without.
