This painting is part of a series of four paintings called “The Four Seasons”. The four seasons have always been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for poets, musicians, and painters who have described and interpreted them in different ways. Chris Barley has used his images, feelings and emotions to communicate his vision of these different times of the year. Summer is represented by warm and saturated colors, such as red, orange and yellow, evoking the heat and light of this season. The shapes are more compact, reflecting the overwhelming presence of the sun's rays.
