Burj Al Arab Pop Art

Recognized around the globe for its luxury, The Burj al Arab in Dubai is a striking hotel that stands as one of the city's landmarks. It has hosted visits from many important local and international figures. Designed by architect Tom Wright, the building resembles the sail of a ship. From up close it towers over the coast. From afar it is a lone sail arriving back to shore, its curving structure soaring into the sky. It pays tribute to Dubai's rich maritime heritage. Each night, it lights up with color to reflect different celebrations, honoring countries or events such as Saint Patrick’s Day.

I vividly recall the lights during New Year's Eve as they created a beautiful atmosphere to witness the fireworks and commemorate the end of a chapter. The spectacular views of the music, lights and fireworks remain close to my heart. In my artwork, I've chosen the line technique to portray the sunsets from the beach near Burj al Arab.
