Horses Painting

The Horse has always been and perhaps will continue to remain my favorite muse to paint. Having already painted various horses in all my previous art mediums, it was difficult for me to resist dappling my hands with alcohol inks this time. A horse head is a common symbol for strength, pride and glory, often used by Kings and regals to demonstrate power. Here I have tried to combine this with the gentle ripples and fades of the alcohol inks to balance the painting and to create a sense of comparison. The blues surrounding the black and gold mare create an illusion of contrast and balance. The shades of blue which give a soothing effect to the viewer convey the emotion of calmness and gentleness while the black and gold of the horse depict royalty and strength. It portrays how strength and power are not always negative emotions and when balanced properly can give a beautiful symphony to the viewer. Just by being gentle and kind you hold enormous power and can move mountains without the use of brute strength. This beautiful harmony of strength and calmness will add vibrancy to any room it is kept in. The golden frame enhances the royalty of the painting, bringing a luxurious touch to your walls!
